and Quality (SHEQ) at TBG

ISO 9001: Quality Management System (QMS)
ISO 14001: Environmental Management System (EMS)
ISO 45001: Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS)

At TBG, we aim to be Queensland’s most trusted electrical infrastructure contractor. To achieve and maintain this overriding objective, we focus sharply on every operational and strategic action to ensure the best possible safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) outcomes, on every job, every day.

Since 2017, we have worked within the framework of our ongoing Quality Assurance accreditations. We apply these actions every day, and we include Quality Assurance principles and improvements into every project we undertake. In this way, we earn and maintain the trust of our valued clients and build our reputation for consistent compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable project delivery.

Safety

At TBG, we are driven by our strong, safety-first culture, embedded as our overarching principle for everything we do. For our clients, this means assurance that we collaborate closely on site to assess risks and eliminate or minimise the possibility of incidents.

We proudly maintain our zero-fatality achievement through careful, safe workmanship because we want our people and our clients to go home safely every day.

Our safety systems are continually assessed and improved, following our certified ISO 45001 safety processes and protocols.

Health

We understand our business relies on the physical and mental health and capacity of our team. We offer outstanding work and life balance to our staff, with family-friendly rosters and full management support according to our Human Resources policies and procedures.

TBG provides and supports domestic violence leave to all staff, we also partner with ‘Mates in Construction’ to support our workforce and provide confidential third party counselling services if required.

Environment

TBG is committed to zero harm to the environments we live and work in. We work with our clients to provide information for their Scope 3 emissions reporting requirements.

We’re proactive in all aspects of office and job site environmental management, implementing actions wherever we can. For example, we have:

  • Improved air quality by reducing or eliminating emissions to the air—hand tools are battery-operated, removing the need to run generators or vehicles to run inverters.
  • Reduced use of water – we installed a 5000L water tank to capture office rainwater for gardens and grounds.
  • Improved soil quality – we only use organic fertilisers when required.
  • Reduced demand for natural resources –we choose to ‘go paperless’, and we buy in bulk.
  • Reduced energy consumption – all office lighting is LED, with exterior solar security lighting.
  • Reduced waste – we have a strict recycling policy, and we have a recycling agreement with Veolia to recycle old light fittings and globes from fittings removed during works/projects.

Wherever TBG staff deliver services, we ensure work site remediation includes complete removal of waste and all other materials, working with the principal to recycle, reuse and safely dispose of any potential environmental contaminants.

Quality

Since 2017, we have maintained accreditation to ISO 9001 for Quality, ISO 14001 for Environment, and AS/NZS 45001 for Health and Safety.

At TBG, maintaining our ISO accreditations is much more than ‘ticking the right boxes’. We implement each standard as a strategic tool to reduce our overheads and our clients’ costs by minimising waste and errors, and promoting better product and service delivery for each project we undertake.

  • Our focus on quality helps us to eliminate contract variations or re-work
  • our executive-led safety culture helps us to assess risk and eliminating incidents
  • our quality management systems ensure professional integration and collaboration with our clients in the documentation and execution of each project, eliminating or minimising duplication or miscommunication for excellent outcomes
